Reseña: Systemic corruption within the justice system is commonly defined as the use of publicauthority for personal gain that results in an improper delivery of judicial services andlegal protection for citizens. The justice system can be broadly defined to include judges,prosecutors, police, public defenders, private bar, court personnel, and court decisionenforcement agencies, such as penal institutions. This paper will cover corruption carriedout by judges, prosecutors, police, and court personnel within developing countries andcountries in transition.
