dc.description.abstract The objective, then, is to examine justice reform efforts that have been successful outside of Latin America and the Caribbean—that is, Beyond Our Borders. The aim is to look not only at what is working in other places, but also at what may be appropriate for the reform process in the region. We believe that this expands our understanding of what can be useful, sensible and successful in justice reform, and educates us as to what might be necessary to adapt solutions that have worked in other countries to the Latin American context.
