dc.description.abstract On 31 October 2000, the U.N. Security Council approved Resolution 1325, which incorporates the gender perspective into multi-dimensional operations designed to support peace. This resolution represents an important point of reference for the analysis of gender in societies in conflict or transition because it establishes the connection between peace and security and human rights. The author of this document reflects on several aspects related to justice and gender equality in post-conflict situations, including the protection of human rights, justice, and peace as it relates to women.
