Legislating for restorative justice

Abstract

Procedurally, restorative programmes value active participation of victims,offenders and communities, often through direct encounters with each other, in an effortto identify the injustice done, the harm that resulted, the steps that are needed to makethings right, and future actions that can reduce the likelihood of future offences.
