In May 1999, with support from the Japan-Friendship Commission, the Mansfield Center for Pacific Affairs co-sponsored with the Global Forum in Japan a symposium on The Rule of Law and its Acceptance in Asia. The symposium made clear there is an active international debate about the Rule of Law in the nations of Asia. |
