Community prosecution in the United States

Abstract

The different models of community prosecution efforts established in the U.S. make it difficult to describe what community prosecution actually means and what it looks like. Just as police created different forms of community policing, prosecutors have established programmes that reflect the needs of their own jurisdictions.
