dc.description.abstract This guide describes the lessons learned as part of joint project of the NYPD and the Vera Institute of Justice, which sought to strengthen relations between police and new immigrant communities in the city. The lessons were derived from a series of police-community forums convened with members of the Arab-American community, African immigrant community, and emerging Latin-American communities.
