Reseña: In 2008, the UNCF Special Programs Corporation (UNCFSP) established the Campus Community Policing Partnerships (CCPP) at three Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU): Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina; Le Moyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee; and Philander-Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. The goal of the CCPP program was to develop and advance innovative community policing strategies and community-supported approaches to prevent crime and gang activity. This report describes the methods used to increase collaborative partnerships between the police and each HBCU campus and its surrounding community members.
