dc.description.abstract Reseña:A lengthy report prepared in September 2007 by Professor Bill Bogart, Jasminka Kalajdzic and Ian Matthews provided a comprehensive overview of the class actions system in Canada, its various costs regimes, certification requirements, and the like.1 In this short update, a summary of key developments in 2008 is provided, with brief discussion of four principal topics: the development of secondary market securities class actions; conflicts between class counsel and client; costs; and national classes.
