dc.description.abstract This paper intends to present a brief summary of the state of current reforms to the civil justice systems in Latin America. First, some current statistics in the region will be evaluated with regards to civil proceedings. Second, the types of reforms initiated in the region will be discussed. Finally, suggestions for the ongoing reforms to civil justice systems will be introduced.
