dc.description.abstract |
The OECS Judicial and Legal Reform Project (JLR) is a five year CIDA-funded projectaimed at supporting improvements to the administration of law and quality of justice inthe OECS. The project seeks to benefit all citizens of the OECS, but with a specificsensitivity to women and youth.One outcome of the project’s reform initiatives is to promote fairness by developing andsupporting alternatives to conventional justice processes, through activities referred to asComplementary Measures. Such measures include: Legal Aid; Alternative Dispute Resolution; Counselling Services; Sentencing Policies and Alternatives; Public Legal Education. |
