Reseña: The role played by the American law school dean is markedly different than that played by deans at law schools elsewhere in the world. American deans generally serve longer, have more power—particularly our finances—and have a larger and more diverse constituent base they must serve. The following article examines a number of reasons for this expanded decanal role in America.
